This Week

This week was a busy one!  I like to be busy though because GA is much happier if she doesn't get bored! 

Monday - Went to Play Place to check out birthday party potential (fun, but not the birthday location winner)

Tuesday - ZOO

Wednesday - Open House at GA's NEW "Big Kid" School

Thursday - Played outside with water most of the day

Friday - met Laudan, Bec, and Kate at the park

Kaki's Visit

This weekend Will had fun at the beach with some friends, and Kaki came to help me with the girls.  We had lots of fun including a visit to McWane center.  Thanks for all your help Kaki!

Over the river and through the woods. . .

We spent the weekend with Will's parents - it was Lizzie's first trip out of town! We had fun, enjoyed visiting with family (we also got to see Granny and Papa), and ate lots of yummy food.  GA loved playing with "GamMama's toys"!

One of the exciting parts of the weekend was a friend's AWESOME yardsale that we went to twice in one day! There were tons of wonderful little girl clothes.  We got 5 smocked dresses, 15 name brand outfits (Beaux et Belles, Castles & Crowns, Amanda Remembered etc.), 2 coats, and 1 Kate Mack swimsuit all for less than $270.  I was in heaven!

Now we are home and have enjoyed a couple of lazy days!



Splash Pad

On Tuesday, we met some of our friends at the Splash Pad.  GA loved it!  She played for two solid hours and still wasn't ready to leave.  Lizzie and I, on the other hand, were tired of the heat and ready to get home to an AC!  I thought GA would fall asleep in the car on the way home after playing so hard, but actually she came home and never took a nap that day!  I wish I had that kind of energy!

"Come on, Harris!  Lets go over here!"  (GA tends to be a little bossy with her friends.  I don't know anyone else like that :-)

Gymnastics Birthday Party

Our sweet friend Peggy had a gymnastics birthday party today.  GA had SOOO much fun!  She was WILD-jumping around everywhere!

Birthday Girl!

Three Months

Lizzie is three months old today!  Wow, does time fly!  She is doing great.  She sleeps about 9 hours at night in her miracle blanket and nap nanny.  She is a good, happy baby but does prefer to be held (Will says I've spoiled her!) She loves to be talked to and coos and gurggles back to us. She also likes the mobile in her bed and starts smiling every time I wind it up.  She has a pitiful cold right now (coughing and sneezing) but she is being a trooper.  At the doctor yesterday she weighed 13 pounds.

To compare, this is a picture of GA the day she turned 3 months. Totally different!  Similar eyes-they both have extraordinarily long eyelashes, same pug nose, but Lizzie doesn't have those cheeks! Strangely, Lizzie weighs more even though GA looks chubbier in pictures.

Stolen Pictures from Ben's Birthday

I didn't get any pictures from Ben's 5th birthday, so I stole these from Laudan's blog.  I wanted to post them so they would be included when I print the blog into a book.   The party was so fun - a pirate theme with a water slide!
