Wedding Day Brunch

On Saturday morning, the Maxwell's hosted a beautiful wedding day brunch. The wedding photographer was there, and she loved taking pictures of our family.  Most of these were taken with my camera to the side while the photographer was taking the pictures.

Lizzie and Lilly (middle) with some babies I don't know!  The idea was to get all the babies from the wedding together. The parents were hiding behind this wall so they wouldn't fall.

Lizzie was so tired and refused to smile!  The photographer kept telling us to "put our heads together" - so cheesy I think!

Uncle Scott is tall!

I crack up everytime I look at this!  The picture is so good except that Lizzie is making a "gagging" face.  She is cutting some teeth and wants to keep her hands in her mouth.  I wish we could photoshop her expression!

Atlanta Trip - Friday night

On Friday night, there was a cocktail party for the wedding guests at the Norcross Train Station.  Downtown Norcross was really cute!

Georgia Aquarium

We just got home from a weekend in Atlanta for Will's cousin, Christy's wedding.  We had a lot of fun seeing family.  When we got there on Friday, we made a stop at the Georgia Aquarium.  We really enjoyed it, but it was WAY TOO crowded!  Next time I think I'll go on a Monday or something!

GA and I crawled through a small tunnel to get some close-up views.

This was right before the 3D show.  We only lasted about 5 minutes.  For some reason GA was terrified!

Piece of advice:  when you are somewhere VERY CROWDED with your kids,
neon green bows are great to make them easy to locate!

At the hotel, we pushed our two double beds together so GA could sleep between us without falling off (Lizzie was in her pack-and-play).  Since the bed was huge and fluffy, Lizzie thought she was in a bouncy house.  She loved just diving and falling on the bed!

Trip to McWane

It was a little chilly outside today, so we headed to McWane.  Just a few months ago, Lizzie would stay in the stroller the whole time, but now she loves it just as much as GA.

We have to keep a paci in at McWane so we don't put things in our mouth! I love McWane, but the words "hands-on museum" just make me think of all the germs everywhere!  GROSS! We use LOTS of hand sanitizer there!

We always end with the water table, so we don't have to wear wet clothes the entire day!

Gymnastics

I grabbed my camera on the way out the door to gymnastics this week so I could snap a few pictures!

Easter Sunday 2012

We had a full Easter Sunday that started bright and early.  We went to early church as we have done in the past to avoid the crowds and get to lunch early, but it was really hard to do Easter bunny activities, eat breakfast, get two kids dressed, and leave the house by 7:30.  I don't think we will try that again! It was too stressful!
The Easter Bunny came and brought a soccer goal, princess soccer ball, swing for Lizzie, and some other fun surprises!

We went outside to hunt the eggs that the Easter Bunny had hiden.  One was hidden in GA's shoe.

After egg hunting, we went inside and ate our resurrection rolls.  We made them the night before. You put a marshmallow in the middle to represent Jesus.  When you cook them, the marshmallow is gone and the tomb is empty!
After breakfast, we rushed to church.  We were running late, and I didn't want to miss the beginning of the service, so we just took both kids in with us.  I was thinking they would enjoy the music at the beginning and then I would take Lizzie to the nursery (and GA if she wanted to go).  But surprisingly, they both had excellent behavior the entire time.   Lizzie was pretty tired and just relaxed in Will's lap except for when she was dancing to the music.  I'm so glad we took them!

The highlight of my day occurred during the children's minutes. GA has only been brave enough to go down for children's minutes a few times.  I was worried she may not stay down there, so I walked behind her and took a seat a few rows from the front in case she chickened out!  I'm glad I was close to the front so that I had a good view of what happened next!  There were about 50 kids at the front of the church, most of them older than GA.  When the leader mentioned the empty tomb, GA raised her hand and gushed "There was a cave!  And it was empty!  Just like the rolls I made with a marshmallow for Jesus and it was all gone and I ate the roll!"  The leader was clearly surprised by GA's  confidence, asked her name, and told her she wanted the recipe.  After GA said her name, the leader said, "Grace Ann can tell us that the cross isn't scary because the cave was empty" and GA exclaimed "YES IT WAS!"  Everybody got a good laugh-it was adorable.  Honestly, I was a nervous wreck thinking, "What is she going to say next?" but thankfully she did great and stuck to the facts :-)
After church, we took a few pictures by the cross, then we all went to Sunday school.  When we went to get Lizzie after Sunday school, she had just fallen asleep.  We wanted to let her get a little nap before we went to lunch, so we just hung out in the church garden area and took more pictures.  So the reason we have way more pictures of GA is that Lizzie was asleep in the nursery most of the time!

GA with her Sunday School backpack.  She woke up with WILD hair and unfortunately it was pretty wild all day!

Greer family shot! So thankful for these sweet friends! Since both of our extended families were out of town, we enjoyed celebrating Easter with them

Daddies with their babies!

Lizzie wasn't so into pictures that day!

After church, we headed to the country club for lunch.

Lizzie had shed her shoes by this point.
