Fun with friends the last few weeks. . .

We have been trying to squeeze every last bit of fun out of summer before school starts!  Lots of playdates and fun times with friends! This is a random set of pictures (some just phone pictures) so the quality varies!

Lizzie's First Day of School

Today was Lizzie's first day of  "big girl" school.  Mommy was so sad!  Even though she went to Mother's Day Out some in the spring, I just couldn't believe that she was going to full-time care in the toddler room!  She only stayed about 1 1/2 hrs.  I think we need to ease her (and me) into this!  Even Grace Ann was asking to go pick her up! She cried when we left and when we picked her up, but they said she didn't cry much while we were gone.  I know she will be loving it in no time! I know they will take good care of her, and she will learn so much, but I'm still so sad she isn't a tiny baby anymore!

Since she's always with me, she usually is wearing a sweet smocked something and sandles. Her school likes them to be dressed "practically" and "safely", so now it's play clothes and big girl tennis shoes! She looks so big in these pictures!

I thought taking the second one would be so much easier!  My anxiety level is definitely less since I'm familiar with the teachers and know the routines, but I'm so sad to see my "baby" growing up!

Swim Lessons

GA and Rebecca took swimming lessons together this week.  They both made a lot of progress.  The teacher was great and overall I was very pleased! Today they got to show us what they learned!

This weekend in pictures. . .

This weekend we enjoyed Tripp's birthday party (so adorable - I wish I had more pictures of the decorations), a visit to the Homewood park (GA loves it when Will goes to the park with us), dinner and popsicles with the Hendersons, and church this morning!  A wonderful weekend!

I took this one over someone's shoulder.  Look how cute the cake and hats were! And of course how cute are the Williams!

I'm sure most people reading this have already enjoyed the gourmet popsicles at Steel City Pops.  It was our first trip!  Between the ones we bought and the ones the Henderson's bought, I think I tasted about 6 different kinds.  I think our family all agreed that strawberry cream was our favorite!
