Black and Blue Festival 2011

Today we traveled to Petals from the Past for the annual Black and Blue Berry Festival.  We LOVE going there, because it is a beautiful place and the berries are huge and yummy!  The family that owns it is so kind and helpful.  GA had a ball!

Lizzie - 6 weeks old

Lizzie was six weeks old yesterday!  Time flies!  To be honest, she hasn't been the easiest baby.  She has had some really fussy days and there have been some "up-every-hour" nights.  But lately she has had some great nights with 5-6 hour sleeping stretches and has started to smile a lot too! Also, she is putting on the pounds!  At her check up when she was 5 weeks old, she weighed 9 pounds 10 ounces (50th percentile).  Almost an entire pound more than Grace Ann at that age!  Everyone comments that she is "so petite" but she seems big to me since Grace Ann was really slow to gain weight (I'm sure this is due to the fact that Lizzie actually keeps her food down instead of constantly spitting up like GA did!)  She is SO ADORABLE and has the cutest expressions!  Here are some current pictures!

Memorial Day Weekend 2011 (lots of random pictures)

We stayed in town for Memorial Day this year, but stayed pretty busy balancing our girls!  Here are lots of random pictures I took over the course of the weekend. 

Grace Ann loves to "dress up" in crazy stuff after her bath so she can go downstairs and "show daddy" whatever she has come up with for the night.  On Friday night, she pulled out the winter gloves and hat!

On Saturday night, we went out to eat and GA wanted her picture made with her baby doll.  Please notice that the baby has on a very large onesie GA pulled out of Lizzie's drawer. 




On Sunday, Will's parents came and took us to lunch.  Somehow I didn't get any pictures of them, but I did get a couple of Lizzie while she was awake and happy!  Can you believe that hair!  It is so thick on top!

   It was a fun weekend, but I was so tired by the end!  I can't wait until Lizzie decides to sleep a little more at night so I'm not a walking zombie all the time!

We Made it to Church and Pictures with Hendersons

Today was the first Sunday that we have all four gone to church since Lizzie was born.  I felt like I had run a marathon by the time we walked out the door!

 We ate dinner with the Henderson and got some pictures of all the kids together.

Lizzie Two Weeks Old and Random Pics

I cannot believe how quickly time is passing and that Lizzie is already two weeks old!  She reminds us so much of Grace Ann as an infant.  I'm trying hard to just enjoy every minute of this newborn stage, because I know it will be gone soon!

Sweet Feet!

GA has been quite the handful the last couple of weeks.  She is so sweet to Lizzie, but just even more strong-willed than usual. She goes from being a perfect angel to having a major meltdown in about 2 seconds.  We are trying hard to make sure she gets plenty of attention and stays on her normal routine as much as possible.  I know that "this too shall pass!"   

Baby Lizzie gave Grace Ann a water table when we came home from the hospital.  Grace Ann really loves it and I'm hoping it provides lots of hours of entertainment!



One Week Old

This little angel has been so sweet!  She has been the best baby so far and I'm just praying she stays so content!  GA loves her SOOOO much (sometimes a little too much), and Will and I have been so busy learning how to be parents of two!  It is quite an adjustment, but such a blessing!
