Happy Birthday Kate

Sorry for the post overload, but we've had so much going on and I just do a better job of blogging when I post things as they happen.  Once a few days pass, I usually forget all about posting! Anyway, Kate had an AWESOME gymnastics birthday party this afternoon.  Grace Ann had so much fun!

Bec

Liz and GA had so much fun swinging together.

When we left Kate's, we went to the Williams for a fun cookie decorating party.

Our Little Christmas Angel. . .

Can't believe that last Christmas this sweet pea wasn't even born!  She brings us pure JOY! And she poses for the camera so well!

And here is the picture of Big Sis wearing the same dress when she was newborn:

Just regular bathtime at our house!

I love spending time with my girls, but sometimes I think I'm losing my mind!  Like bath time last night. . .
6:00 head toward the bathtub with girls. Get water running
6:01 Put Lizzie in her bed (fussing as I walk away) Get GA undressed, put her on potty, hear Lizzie hit her head on side of crib and start screaming.
6:05 Calm Lizzie down and return to bathroom to see that GA has all the bath toys all over the floor and had been pouring water on the side of the tub that has also covered the floor. Clean up mess and put GA in tub.
6:10 Get Liz in tub and start washing girls hair and bodies.
6:20 Get Liz out and start getting her dressed while GA screams that she wants out too and is freezing.
6:25 Put Liz back in her crib to contain her while I get GA out and dressed.
6:30 GA playing with  dollhouse while I clean up the disaster that the bathroom is!.
6:35  Finally get Lizzie a bottle and sit down to feed her in GAs room while she plays thinking "Whew, thank goodness they are both clean and we are done with bathtime"  Boy was I WRONG
6:40  GA pees all over the floor in her room with her footed PJs on.  I guess she didn't really use the potty earlier.  Run water, strip her down and put her back in tub really quick.  Pull her out, dry her off and get new PJs  (all the while Liz is screaming bc her bottle was interrupted! Mop floor
6:45  Run downstairs to put wet clothes in washer and return to see Lizzie with the "I'm pooping" face.  Take Lizzie to change her and realize there is poop all over her back, etc.  Well, the good news is that there is still water in the tub from GAs second bath.  Put Liz in tub, wash her, and put on new PJs.
6:50  Finally get them downstairs, start a show for GA so Lizzie can have her bottle
Seriously?????
And that was just 45 minutes of my day!  I know some of my mommy friends will laugh and know this feeling.  Sometimes I think, "Ok God, what are you trying to teach me right now?"  A friend of mine documented her whole day like this on her blog as a mommy of three, but I thought these 45 minutes pretty much tell the story!

Happy Birthday Will and Kate, a quick trip to McWane, and a sad little gingerbread house

Wednesday was Will's birthday. We had a couple of friends over for dinner and cake.  There were as many kids here as adults so it was way too chaotic to get many pictures, but we had a good time!
Grace Ann was so excited!

Edgar's strawberry at Will's request - YUM!

Will and Kate share a birthday so we wanted to sing to her too!  She was wearing GA's Cinderella dress - so cute!

This cracks me up bc Collier looks like he is saying "Don't even think about touching this cake, Mom!"

Harris and GA
Yesterday, GA took an early nap so we took an unplanned trip to McWane in the afternoon.  I have found that 2-5 is a great time to go there, but it usually interrupts our naps.

Pulling up at 7 months!

GA loved playing in the pretend snow.
Lizzie sitting on the giant piano and GA behind her walking on the part that says "please walk on keys only!"

Last night, GA and I made a gingerbread house.  This was my first time- hopefully next year will be better!

It took all my strength not to help her place the candy, but I wanted her to be able to do it herselft.  I'm terrible with icing too so it turned out pretty sad.  At least she had fun!

I need to find a better tray.

Pictures you won't be seeing on the 2011 Christmas card. . .

A few weeks ago, I was so frustrated that I could not laugh at these. But now they are cracking me up! Grace Ann is definitely a little moody these days when it comes to getting her picture taken.  In case anyone is wondering why our Christmas card this year doesn't include a picture of the girls together. . .

Can you say MISERABLE!

Yes, that is Lizzie's foot!

ONE more picture!

Honestly, this was one of the better ones. . .sad.

Let's look anywhere but at mom!
If you ever look at this blog, you know that I usually can get some pretty decent ones of them together. But apparently they were boycotting the Christmas card this year! So this is what we used!  Merry Christmas!

Phone Pictures from last few months

These are some pictures off my phone.  They aren't in any order.
First time Lizzie was big enough for them to sit together in the shopping cart at Costco.  GA was sooo excited!

This toy blows air and GA told me she was drying Lizzie's hair.  As if Lizzie's hair needs any help being wild!

Liz in the tub.  This contraption is awesome and helps them to safely take a bath together.   Got it at a consignment sale!

We ate lunch at Edgars on the day Alabama played LSU.  GA really wanted the cookie with purple on it!  Who was I to stand in her way?

We met Kelly and Austin (some of my former students) and their little boy Cooper for lunch and then went to the park.  GA had so much fun playing with them!
Sliding with Austin and Cooper

Aunt Kim gave GA a Build-A-Bear gift certificate for her birthday!  We had so much fun there!

This was the bear she designed! Aurora!

This happens a lot at our house lately!

Friday night Lizzie crawled across the room and then tried really hard to climb the stairs by herself.  I feel like she is growing up way too fast!

GA:  Mommy, you have 3 babies - me, Lizzie and Cassie.  I wish we could get another baby.  Maybe we can borrow one from Laudan

(on the way home from grocery)
Me:  Grace Ann, do you want to take a bath tonight or just skip?
GA:  I want to skip
(when we got home later)
